Always Drunk

I took a personal day today.

Yes, on a Tuesday, possibly the most useless day to take off from work. Because I'm a mess.

My guess is that Edina Monsoon slays Tuesday.

The plan was to go the doctor to get my various prescriptions refilled, attend to some car-related things, spend some time with Drummer Boy, and take a nap (because last night was an insomniacal horror show).

Here's how that went.

I went to the doctor, got a generally clear bill of health (blood pressure just slightly elevated, but OK), was lectured about getting a mammogram (for the nth time), and received my precious prescriptions.

Good.

But Benedict Cumberhatch, who turned three years old this weekend, is having a major malfunction with his windshield wipers. Early in the day I thought the spastic, random, and unbid movement of the wipers had resolved itself since it first appeared on Sunday.



But no.

Now my windshield wipers appear to not work at all.

North Dallas is expecting rain in the morning, so...not a great development.

I guess I'll be contacting the dealership in the a.m.

Then there's this. Some FUCKING ASSHOLE thew a cup of milkshake or some shit out the window his car at my sweet Benedict Cumberhatch, splattering him all to shit.

So that was a drive-thru car wash I wasn't planning on.

Oh, and then my planned time with Drummer Boy didn't work out because he chose tech time with them over me prior to tonight's gig.

And I'm fine with that.

I'm not a drum person.

I always miss seeing him, but who TF am I to get in the way of his gigs/dreams?
