First Things First

Regular readers know that this has been a tough week for me.

Tougher than gator hide.

And I want to say that your messages of concern and support have meant so much to me. And also to say that I'm fine. Really. And I am in no physical danger. In fact, I deleted the post that, in retrospect, seemed to suggest that I was. I am afraid in my current situation, yes, but only because I fear change and I fear anger. To me, anger is a violent emotion, but that's the only violence I'm threatened with.

Still, thank you for having my back. I wish I could hug each of you and buy you a Coke.

I never cease to be amazed what you can find on the Internet.

And now...today we lost Leonard Nimoy, which to me is a tragedy far worse than anything happening in my little life.

I absolutely will eulogize that great man in this space.

But first I had to get this other stuff squared away.
