Left work early to pick up Precocious Daughter from marching band practice.
Mourned the fact that former Texas Gov. Dick Perry's campaign appears to be already sputtering to a halt.
Moved the first set of boxes out of storage and into my new apartment. My fabric stash essentially fills up an entire closet. I may have to think strategically about this.
Tried to help my soon-to-be-ex find a place to live.
Prayed that the contract on my house will turn into a sale within 30 days.
That's how freaking desperate I am. |
Paused to remember Robin Williams and where I was one year ago today when I learned he had taken his own life.
(I was at a pizza place with my family, if you want to know.)
Stayed up too late.
You?
Watched an interesting documentary called "Starring Adam West". Determined he he was quite the stunner when he was breaking into Hollywood.
ReplyDeletePut the elastics on my new zills for belly dancing. I bought some new, really good ones, ones that cost more than $10. I am in love with them.
I also looked at motorcycles and decided that I need to save up about $50k for a bike. It's an extremely rare WWII military bike. So damn worth it.
Changed my phone alarm to make sure I get up in the morning for a super early meeting. Nothing like Godzilla roaring next to your head to snap you out of an awesome slumber. I think I need to wash the sheets now.
I could not connect to said meeting. I also have a sticker in my foot. And we're stuck in traffic on I-35. Awesome.
Yesterday I: Got up before the sun and tried to be productive at work (with moderate success), came home and watched FRIENDS with the kids, made a yummy new recipe, put on makeup for the first time in a month (so far no allergic reaction!!!), went to check out some jeeps with Chris and the Bestie. Home and to bed too late. All in all a very unremarkable day.... But those days make me the happiest. :)

ReplyDeleteI don't want to discuss yesterday. Instead I'd rather think about tomorrow when your house will be sold, your ex will have a place to live, and you will have used up about half of your fabric stash--and then replenished it, because I know how stashes go.
ReplyDeleteIt won't literally be tomorrow, but these things are gonna happen. The funny thing about time is it keeps moving forward.
