And the Oscar Goes To...

Precocious Daughter snuck in one last movie before tonight's Academy Awards. We checked out Julianne Moore's nominated performance in Still Alice. Yeah, she's got Best Actress locked up. Sorry, Marion Cotillard and Reese Witherspoon, I didn't see either of your movies, but...pretty sure neither of you played a woman struggling with early-onset Alzheimer's, so better luck next year.

Seriously, though, a brilliant, heartbreaking
performance. You're now on my frenemies list
with Tina Fey.
So I'll be live-blogging the Oscars in a little while. Expect major squeeeees whenever Benedict Cumberbatch is on camera. And if you're not going to be on the Facebooks or the Twitters tonight, I'll recap the whole gaudy shebang tomorrow.

I should have plenty of time, as North Texas is bracing for ICEMAGEDDON tomorrow. Woo-hoo, post-Oscars snow day!

OMG, I can't wait to see what Neil Patrick Harris does with the show.

Here's an early squee: Squeeeeeeee!

  1. I read Still Alice in one sitting a few months ago. Julianne Moore was in my mind's eye as I read it. The movie hasn't been shown locally here yet (why???), but I am certain Julianne deserves the Oscar.

  2. It's about time Moore won an Oscar. But I also want to add...Benedict Cumberbatch with a flask. Genius.

You're thinking it, you may as well type it. The only comments you'll regret are the ones you don't leave. Also, replies to threads make puppies grow big and strong.
